We are looking for a highly skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting routine and project-based analytical testing, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and maintaining laboratory data systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect necessary task-related information from available work instructions and methods.
• Select appropriate analytical methods and equipment from the available options.
• Prioritize tasks and proactively address bottlenecks.
• Perform independent and critical analyses according to established work procedures or research plans.
• Verify equipment, chemicals, and glassware before use, report deviations, and troubleshoot minor equipment failures.
• Execute all tasks in compliance with the ISO 17025 quality management system, report discrepancies, and take corrective actions.
• Compare obtained results with expected values, trends, and specifications; report anomalies and take appropriate action.
• Correlate different analytical results and understand their interdependencies in case of deviations.
• Record analytical results in LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) for authorized methods.
• Adhere to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and general BBS (Behavior-Based Safety) protocols.
• Stay updated with regulatory changes and additional safety requirements.
• Understand the broader objectives of the workgroup and its impact on related activities.
• Interpret and evaluate personal contributions to the workflow.
• Collaborate with colleagues for knowledge-sharing and workload distribution.
• Work effectively under changing circumstances and maintain reliability under high workloads.
• Manage local CLAB laboratory data systems, including LIMS and chromatography systems.

Qualifications

• Opleiding: BSc analytische chemie (HLO).
• Enkele jaren ervaring als analist in een raffinaderij of chemisch laboratorium.
• Theoretische en praktische kennis van de verschillende soorten analytische technieken zoals HPLC, GC-(MS), IR, UV/VIS, XRF, ICP, AAS, NIR, titrimetrie.
• Ervaring met het werken onder kwaliteitssystemen zoals ISO 17025.
• Affiniteit met laboratorium datasystemen & IT.
