Job Title: Senior PHP Developer

Location: Amsterdam (hybrid)


We are partnering with a rapidly expanding European cryptocurrency platform committed to simplifying digital assets while prioritizing security and accessibility. With transparency at its core, the company thrives on innovation and collaboration.


To support their growth, they are seeking an enthusiastic PHP Developer to join their development team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-growing environment and is eager to take on new challenges in their field.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new features to enhance and expand our cryptocurrency products.
  • Maintain, optimize, and refactor the existing codebase to ensure a seamless and improved user experience.
  • Collaborate across teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in web application development.
  • Proficiency in PHP and the Laravel Framework.
  • Experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases.
  • Strong communication skills, a solid work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • A collaborative mindset—eager to learn from others and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment where teamwork is a core value.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and implement effective solutions independently.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Memcache/Redis for caching and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript for frontend or full-stack development.
  • Familiarity with Kafka for event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and writing robust, maintainable tests.
  • Understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
