Within this role you develop and industrialize state-of-the-art optical sensors in a multidisciplinary environment. In addition you work on complex sensor systems and design its components towards performance, manufacturability, sustainability and cost targets.
Role and ResponsibilitiesAs Senior Design Engineer in our Sensors department you will be a key player in a multidisciplinary environment that further develops the current and next generation optical image and level sensors. You will need to demonstrate your skills and knowledge in several of the following activities:
- Definition of integration, calibration and test strategy of the optical sensors in our lithography systems
- Development of opto-mechanical tools required during install and setup of the sensor
- Definition of specifications to meet the required system performance
- Cooperate in modeling and experimental verification of sensor performance
- Generate effective and creative optical solutions for improving the sensor performance
- Analysis and modeling of the performance of our leading-edge optical sensors systems
- Support the production of these sensors and its use by the final customers
Education and experience
Technical University, MSc or PhD in physics or engineering with at least 5 years of experiences in industry and working in multidisciplinary teams.

- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are crucial in this dynamic environment to convince and manage your stakeholders inside and outside the team and FC.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
