Introduction to the job

As Test automation engineer you are a member of the Software Quality and Integration (SQI) department within the Twinscan System Software (TSS) cluster. Together, you’ll be responsible to integrate, qualify and release high quality, first-time-right software release to our customers.

Role and Responsibilities

As a member of Software Quality and Integration (SQI) you focus on building quality code for our tools, automating processes which is used for software release and integration group.

" You'll be using the Agile methodology to develop system testing software using Python, robot framework etc. Together with the domain test architect, product test architects and developers. You'll do the risk assessment of the changes made in the software. The focus of the risk assessment for system level testing and qualification is the customer’s point-of-view".

As Test automation engineer, you'll

  • Improve quality of our tooling which is being used by many test engineers and developers in ASML

  • Determine coverage improvement areas and create new test cases.

  • Automate selected test cases and qualification pipelines.

  • Participate in the risk assessment of the changes made in the software.

  • (Help) determine which test cases must be created (progression) and/or executed

  • Evaluate customer feedback and define – when possible – preventive actions to extend test coverage and improve qualification.

Education and experience

To help us tackle the technical challenges we face, you'll need experience on high-tech products and with complex processes. As Test automation engineer, you'll need:

  • Bachelor degree in in engineering

  • Strong knowledge and practice of professional software engineering

  • CI/CD and best practices for the full software development life cycle including coding standards, reviews source code management, build process, testing and operations

  • Software developer/designer experience (5+ years)

  • Experience working with Jenkins, Git/GitLab/GitHub actions

  • Strong Knowledge of Python and robot framework

  • Experience with Linux (RHEL) / Windows / Office applications

  • Preferable knowledge on designing frameworks and Cloud knowledge (Azure,GCP

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
