The Corporate Real Estate organization (CRE) is accountable to develop and implement an integrated Real Estate strategy (including Facility Management and Asset Management) that enables ASML’s business strategy. ASML’s Corporate Real Estate strategy and programs are to reflect the following broad objectives: enable the short and long term Industrial Strategy; meet ASML’s workplace requirements; ensure business continuity while minimizing risks ; Total Costs of Ownership and providing the appropriate level of flexibility (portfolio management, maintenance / service standards, production scalability, etc.).

The Corporate Real Estate strategy is translated operationally through an efficient and effective governance, optimized / professional management structure, supported by clear policies, procedures and programs in all properties' life-cycles. Part of this strategy is ensuring the Physical Security Operations strategy. The implementation of appropriate physical security concepts is essential to ensure ASML’s business continuity. Within ASML, the Corporate Physical Security department defines the global strategies, policies, projects, requirements and standards, provides guidance and assesses properties to protect ASML’s intellectual property. The department CRE Physical Security Operations is responsible for proper execution of the policies, processes and requirements, and focuses on the people and organizational measures that protect ASML People, Property and Knowledge.

Purpose of the Job

The Physical Security Investigations Expert (NL) is part of the CRE Physical Security Operations (PSO) team. The “Physical Security Investigations Expert (NL)” is responsible for the design and implementation of the physical security investigation function within the team. The PSO team strengthens ASML’s resilience to internal and external physical threats in order to protect People, Property and Knowledge. The Physical Security Investigations Expert will conduct investigations, manage cases in a complex, continuously developing manufacturing and high tech environment.

The Physical Security Investigations Expert (NL) reports to the Manager Physical Security Operations NL.

Role and Responsibilities

The Physical Security Investigations Expert (NL) is responsible for:

  • Design, implementation and maintain the physical security incident investigation process;
  • Single point of contact for investigations for ASML’s Departments (legal, EHS, CDC, HR, Information Security etc.);
  • Standardize and enforce ways of working, by implementing processes and SOP’s with relevant stakeholders
  • Conducts all physical security investigations
  • Supports other investigative initiatives when required by EHS incidents, Ethics;
  • Utilizes the case management system in Intelex for thorough documentation of investigations;
  • Ensures investigations quality;
  • Identifies learnings from root causes of undesired situations with criminal intent by conducting investigations;
  • Identifies the cause of near misses, violations of the lifesaving rules and traffic policy (incidents EHS);
  • identifies the cause of misconduct (Ethics department);
  • Design investigative metrics for reporting purposes;
  • Case resources are tracked and managed;
  • Periodic write reporting occurs as prescribed based on analyses for future policy development;

Education and experience
  • A relevant Bachelor or Master degree in security or equivalent discipline. A degree can be substituted by relevant working experience of at least ten years;
  • Corporate Security certification is preferred (e.g. CPP, PCI);
  • Business Continuity Management certification is preferred;
  • Certification and/or Training in Data Science is preferred

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
