The field demand forecaster is part of the integral demand & supply department of the Plan & Deliver organization. Plan & deliver is the neutral party within the operations sector. Its role is to secure objective decision making in business planning across ASML. The field demand forecaster plays a pivotal role in bringing all relevant pieces of field demand information together, and presenting the right decisions and consequences to senior management. Extensive contact with multiple other sectors within ASML is required to make this happen.

Role and Responsibilities

As field demand forecaster you will tackle complex field business planning challenges, from our new product Introduction to the volume business and eventually the phase out of products. Considering multiple perspectives and balancing the interests of different stakeholders.

You will be responsible for capturing the complete field d by communicating with our customer sales & support organization and supporting planning teams in translating this into an accurate forecast for field parts, tools and repairs. This plan is used in our monthly Integral demand & supply planning processes to determine the best production and capability plan to meet both our factory and service demand. You will closely collaborate with your Integral demand & supply planning colleagues on tactical and strategical planning aspects.


Besides supporting in creating the best possible field forecast, you will participate in the following activities:

  • Capturing the field demand across all demand streams like after-sales, installs and upgrades;
  • Data analysis and processing of multiple data sources to fit forecasting purposes
  • Enabling decision making by reporting and presenting the various scenarios and its consequences to stakeholders and senior management;
  • Providing guidance on the implications of forecasting figures and translating given policies into actionable business scenarios;
  • Identifying deviations in demand that require forecast adjustments and effectively persuading the organization to take necessary actions;
  • Defining key indicators required to monitor and manage plan execution and progress;
  • Identify opportunities to Improve the forecasting process and accuracy

This position is in the heart of ASML with stakeholder management including sr. management level.

Education and Experience

Bachelor or Master’s degree in business or industrial engineering and management science, supply chain management or business studies, or equivalent level of thinking.

  • 3+ years of experience in S&OP, Integrated Business planning and/or Forecasting
  • Planning experience in large complex organizations
  • High-tech industry (Pre)
