Printing Preparation

• Preparing various materials required for the printing process.
• Producing offset printing plates for the print process on aluminium cans.
• Receiving the digital graphic files (prepared at the headquarters) and checking the files for completeness and lithograph according to specification.
• Operating the UV image setting equipment for transferring digital images onto offset printing plates.
• Ensuring the availability of high-quality offset printing blankets by arranging and checking the quality of external deliveries.
• Arranging timely ink supplies from the external ink service.
• Receiving and arranging the received materials (plates, rubbers)
• Preparing production flat standards.
• Issuing of printing plates to the production department in line with the production plan.
• Issuing of printing blankets to the production department in line with the production plan

Cleaning

• Checking the quality of used printing plates.
• Storing all used printing plates in the fotolitho department.
• Storing and cleaning all used standards in the fotolitho department.

Maintenance

• Performing daily maintenance, adjustments and testing of plate development equipment.
• Notifying the maintenance department in case of equipment problems.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Administration

• Registering the daily material usage, the consumption of special inks (Thermo, DPG, Glow in the dark etc.) and printing plates.
• Archiving all the (digital) graphic files.
• Pick up the cans after every QC approval.

Knowledge and Skills

• Graphical background.
• Knowledge of prepress.
• Knowledge of offset printing equipment.
• Working knowledge of graphic software (Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator etc.)
• Good colour perception and eye for detail.
• Basic maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, HACCP principles and health & safety regulations.
• Good command of the English language.
