As a clinical scientist,in this role, you have the opportunity to take upon the exciting role of Clinical scientist within the FORS venture in the vascular field. Philips has a strong and unique position in this field through its interventional X-ray, cardiovascular devices and ultrasound portfolio. We are developing a new image-guidance solution based on revolutionary navigation technology, encompassing a combination of medical consumable devices, imaging equipment and related services.

You will drive value for FORS venture by providing clinical insights and deep subject matter expertise to the business.

You will engage and collaborate with clinical experts in the endovascular field & share insights with the business in order to develop and market the value proposition and maintain the existing FORS portfolio.

As Clinical Scientist you are responsible for:

-Medical writing of study reports, contribute to manuscripts, review papers Support clinical / reimbursement & regulatory related documentation.

-Conduct data analyses and support reporting of clinical studies.

-Support advanced development (AD) / product development (PDLM) work Setup, execute and report-out on bench tests.

-As subject matter expert support creation of materials for educational & promotional purposes.

-Contribute via subject matter expertise to support sales & customers and gain clinical insights/customer feedback needed to drive continuous improvement on product & workflow.

-Build and collaborate with key opinion leader network.

-Support and give customer demos.

You will work in a highly motivated team and be part of the FORS venture which sits within the Image Guided Therapy Business. The team operates in an open, can-do and entrepreneurial atmosphere and has a self-starting mentality.

Within the FORS venture, novel 3D device guidance is developed and matured until its ready for scale and either handed over to mainstream channels or become a new business category. End-to-end innovation of catheters, guidewires and needles with integrated imaging and sensing capability takes place within the FORS venture, leveraging competencies and assets from the wider Philips organization as well as external partners. New clinical workflows are designed, developed and introduced to the market in intimate collaboration with physician pioneers in the vascular field. The Clinical Scientist will closely work with the other members of the ventures clinical team as well as Marketing, R&D amongst other and will report to the Head of Marketing & Clinical of the FORS venture.

To succeed in this role:

You'll need a customer-first attitude and the following PhD, biomedical background Has in-depth knowledge in endovascular and hemodynamics preferred

Self-starter attitude with ability to learn quickly and self-educate on different medical device products and procedures

Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, including leading discussions and presenting to stakeholders & customers

Stays ahead of clinical and technical developments, and relevant application trends Medical writing (e.g. post-graduate experience in a relevant science or in medicine; training and experience in medical writing, systematic review and clinical data appraisal)

Excellent written English and oral communications skills

Strong skills in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams

Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of working time expected

Primary employment conditions

• Monthly salary as per market standards
• A 13th month payment, pro-rated periodically
• 8.33% holiday allowance calculated on 12 monthly salaries
