Join our team as Director QRC at Getinge Applikon

Are you a driven and experienced professional looking to make a significant impact in the field of quality? Getinge Applikon in Delft is seeking a passionate Director Quality & Regulatory Compliance (QRC) to lead our quality department initiating and guiding quality improvement initiatives to ensure product quality excellence across our organization. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for realizing and optimizing our quality culture through a strong and efficient quality management system . You will do this in close collaboration and partnership with various departments and stakeholders to ensure our products meet the highest standards and customer expectations, while complying with regulations.

You will report to the VP Quality of the Business Area Life Sciences of Getinge with a dotted line to the Managing Director of Getinge Applikon, and will be part of both the Management Team of Getinge Applikon and the Quality Leadership Team of the business area Life Science to support quality strategy definition and deployment in Delft.

What will you do?

• Actively contribute to the strategic development and achievement of departmental objectives.
• Stimulate, maintain, and further develop a strong quality culture within the organization to implement a first-time-right quality mindset to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Oversee compliance with applicable quality standards and regulations at all levels of the organization.
• Lead the Quality team, including the Quality Control department, focusing on continuous improvement .
• Contribute to overall strategy developmenty as a member of the Management Team (MT).
• Develop, implement, and optimize the quality management system (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001).
• Coordinate internal and external audits and quality inspections.
• Initiate and implement continuous improvements.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting on quality and compliance to management.
• Prepare and manage the departmental budget and operational annual plans.
• Coordinate risk management programs and quality training for employees.
• Be part of the Quality Leadership Team of the Business Area to define Quality Strategy for Getinge Life Science, and manage deployment of agreed upon improvement & standardization initiatives in Getinge Applikon.

Knowledge, skills and experience

• A university degree in engineering, or a related field, supplemented with a quality management education.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment driving quality improvement.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• Knowledge of Medical Device Regulation (MDR) or current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with setting up and maintaining quality improvement & compliance programs.
• Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel internationally if needed (on average 1 week per quarter).
