COO Risk delivers baseline and change activities for the Risk Organization with the purpose to drive our partners to maximize value in a safe & compliant environment. We play a critical role at ING and service all business lines, CROs and COOs of the Bank. COO Risk is committed to take explicit ownership of the end-to-end execution of regulatory transformation initiatives.

To deliver on these ambitious promises, we are looking for a Product lead who has an end-to-end strategic focus around our services and leads our squads in terms of clear prioritization, accountability and capabilities. The Product Lead is a position where all elements of a product come together, the what and the how, with an end-to-end transformation responsibility. You work not only on delivery and on how we run a product, but also on creating a vision on how we improve our services, how we manage the business value and how we increase collaboration across functions.

You do that by steering squads who work on a specific service by providing them with a strategic direction, by coaching them on the job, defining the product roadmap and by managing stakeholders. The people who work in the squads report to you, which means it is your job to empower them to thrive and perform at their best. You set direction, you help them to develop their craftsmanship and you have continuous conversations about their career development. As a Product Lead you report hierarchically to the Tribe Lead.

The Tribe ALM & Liquidity Risk has the purpose to implement and to provide the infrastructure necessary for ING to perform Balance Sheet Management activities in all its facets. We design end-to-end solutions that will support in optimizing the banks' Balance Sheet Risk Management capabilities (Interest Rate Risk Management, Liquidity Risk Management, Risk Transfers, Fund Transfer Pricing, Hedging and NII Forecasting) for group functions (Risk, Finance, Group Treasury) as well as the commercial business lines (Domestic Banks and Wholesale Lending). Tribe ALM operates with 3 different departments (COO Risk/ALM, TECH Group Services/Risk, CRO/Financial Risk) in one ALM product organization.

Roles and responsibilities

As a Product Lead ALM Behavioral Models, you:

Take on the roadmap to migrate Banking Client Behavioral Risk Group models (IRRBB) to ALM Standard and Modeling platform and according to plan Implement new model developments for Client Behavioral Risk (CBR) models in the end2end solution for both group and locations as part of model life cycle (MLC) Leads the way for locations to onboard risk transfer and hedging functionality on the ALM Platform that can be offered from our central services (roll-out enhanced functionality). Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of the CBR model landscape with squads assigned. Take ownership of a sizable number of explicit regulatory transformation initiatives Be the hierarchical manager of a team of up to 15 Business Analysts working in multiple squads Be able to work in a collaborative and highly complex setting Be able to influence the level playing field of your team including teams outside of COO Risk Able to take responsibility, steer strategy and realisations based on facts and data; managerial courage to question and make decisions for highly complex issues Build the craftsmanship of the employees in the team in line with the strategy of the Tribe Safeguard a safe environment where teamwork is valued and where all people are encouraged to apply their talents to the max Ensure compliance with relevant regulation and internal/external requirements How to succeedWe hire smart people like you for your potential. As a Product Lead, you will also need to be able to:

Drive and manage large change ALM initiatives in an international context and master complex financial content Lead and deliver complex (multi-year) change projects or potentially programs – covering multiple countries / functional departments Communicate effectively to senior management, in which you can adapt your style and the content of your communication to the needs of others you work with. Design, Data, Processes, and implementation of new ALM work. Key knowledge on Treasury, Behavorial Risk Models and Hedging processes in ALM context Key understanding and knowledge on the IRRBB models with Client Behavioural risk Proven experience in transformation programs with high impact and relevant change execution experience preferably with international exposure Experience in defining strategies and policies, in order to set and deliver objectives within medium to long time frames Proficient expertise in driving and steering multidisciplinary initiatives A proven track record in process management, backlog management and resource planning Experience in explaining complex issues in an easy-to-understand way to get people on board, including by using your strong analytical skills Have a 'can do' mentality, proactive, resourceful, and willing to go the extra mile Proven track record at management level and experience in Banking Education at University with a Master degree in a related study (e.g. Business Administration, Information Management, Finance) An excellent level of English Rewards and benefitsWe want to make sure that it's possible for you to strike the right balance between your career and your private life.
