Our client is a international retail/FMCG company, with operations spanning across Europe. They are looking for a GL Accountant a.i. to join the team in Huizen, North Holland, to assist with the accountancy workload needs for an expected period of 6 months.

Our client is a international retail/FMCG company, with operations spanning across Europe. They are looking for a GL Accountant a.i. to join the team alongside 5 colleagues in Huizen, North Holland, to assist with the accountancy workload needs for an expected period of 6 months.

They ave an extensive network of distribution centres both domestically and internationally. This gives rise to several other entities in the Netherlands that are continuously growing and have their own closing cycles. You will be part of the team responsible for these closures.

Description

Your responsibilities go beyond just working with numbers. In this role, you are the one who makes our processes within financial administration more effective and efficient. Furthermore, you will be responsible for:

  • Several projects within the company, such as reducing invoice rejections.
  • Hands-on accountancy tasks, with the responsibility for daily administration, booking invoices, and monthly reporting
  • Working alongside colleagues overseas to assist with booking and checking invoices
  • Frequent contact with specialised departments and external partners, such as HR and Sales.
  • Identifying financial risks and proposing improvements.
  • Translating data into important management information.

Profile

  • You work very accurately and excel in problem-solving thinking.
  • Strong ability to work in a team.
  • At least an HBO diploma.
  • Strong experience with MS Excel
  • Experience with SAP is beneficial.
  • Working proficiency in English, Dutch is an advantage.
  • Available ASAP
  • Freelancer registered with the KvK
