As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work on models that improve the user experience on our platform. You are involved in all phases of creating data products, from understanding the business need and data exploration, to the productionizing of the models that create an impact on the lives of so many people.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team with fellow data scientists and engineers, together you are responsible for building and improving these models that change our platform. As a senior, you take on a leading role in ensuring high standards for our machine learning solutions and (coding) best practices. You also drive a data-driven mentality by presenting your work to the company and brainstorming with teams on the endless possibilities of data.

What you will do

You find great opportunities to improve our platform with data productsYou build data products that impact millions of users, from data exploration through model selection and evaluation to implementationYou work on interesting models, like recommendations or search rankingYou take on a leading role in designing new products and ensuring high standards for our machine learning solutions and codeYou coach other team membersYou work with stakeholders to define needs, report on progress and present findingsThe way of working in the team is elevated because of your contributions to our data capabilitiesYou drive the data-driven mentality of the company by presenting and brainstorming about data and its possibilitiesYou are part of a global data communityWho you areYou have 4+ years of experience with Machine Learning, and have advanced knowledge of e.g. NLP, clustering, recommender systems and/or ranking algorithmsYou have 4+ years of experience in python, and experience in ensuring coding standards and best practicesYou have a strong drive to understand our data and users and build impactful data productsYour models have gone to production and you have experience in iterating and improving themYou have experience with Big Data technologies and languages, e.g. Spark and MLFlowPreferably, you have a degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or other quantitative fields
