We're looking for a Tableau Engineer for our Engineering Tools & Services Team, with strong technical knowledge and the love for new challenges.
In return, we will empower you to make technical decisions and research innovative solutions to help shape the future of our Enterprise Platform.
You will join a team that manages and support Enterprise applications for all Adevinta employees and your job will be to join a squad responsible for Tableau Server support and maintenance.
As the go-to expert, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, provide advanced troubleshooting and liaise with the vendor to deliver a seamless user experience.
What you'll do
Provide technical support across full Tableau product suite including Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, Tableau Server and Tableau OnlinePossess in-depth knowledge of Tableau architecture, components and services such as the data engine, extract API, Hyper file formatHands-on experience with Tableau REST APIs for administering users, sites, projects etc.Experience with Tableau Server administration covering tasks such as user and permission management, scheduling extracts and incremental refreshesFamiliarity with Tableau data connection methods and ability to troubleshoot issues related to live DB connections vs. extractsAdvise on best practices for designing performant workbooks and dashboards using efficient data sourcesReplicate issues on Tableau Desktop or Tableau Prep Builder to isolate root causeCreate and document reproducible test cases for defects to submit to product engineering teamsWork with stakeholders to build impactful analytics assets using Tableau Software and/or Analytics StudioIdentify issues within existing source systems, tools, processes, data sources, and dashboards; including making suggestions to the team to improve accuracy, decrease latency, and reduce inefficienciesTake inputs from stakeholders and organize them into requirements for project plans and initiativesUnderstand the delivery processes of our customers and find ways to optimise and improve delivery processInteract regularly with other parts of the organisation in a proactive and constructive wayWho you are3-5+ years hands-on experience with Tableau platformExcellent grasp of Tableau concepts, architecture and troubleshooting methodologySQL proficiency along with experience connecting Tableau to databasesOutstanding communication and customer service orientationExperience with Administration of Jira and Confluence is a plusFamiliarity with cloud-based technology (AWS) is a plusAlready based and entitled to work in the Netherlands-
