As a medicine operator, you naturally enjoy contributing to people's health. In addition, it is important that you:

  • Have experience as an operator or education in biology, laboratory technician or something similar;

So you start working as an operator. But not just any operator. You help with the production of liquid medicines. These medicines are used in the treatment of cancer and Crohn's disease, for example. How wonderful is it that you can contribute to this?

As you probably expected, this is a very complicated process. I won't bore you with all kinds of technical terms, you will learn them later But as simple as possible: the process consists of different departments. The raw materials arrive frozen at the first department. These must be thawed carefully. So-called antibodies are then extracted from the raw materials. These antibodies are then cultured and finally checked. And the beautiful thing? We will work with you to determine which department suits you best And do you like variety? Then you can try to learn all the departments so that you can be scheduled more flexibly.

Together with the 2 production assistants you manage, you have your own work area. So you don't end up working in a big, dirty production hall. No, at Johnson & Johnson everything is very neat and you work in clean rooms, which are more like mini laboratories. Together you carefully monitor your part of the process, log the most important matters and resolve any malfunctions. Is a failure mechanical? Then the technical service comes into action. So you don't have to tinker with machines yourself.
