Role & Department

We are looking for a consultant for our Investment Risk & Analytical Services (IRAS) team in Amsterdam. You will be the main point of contact for Northern Trust's clients in the areas of performance, risk and compliance. It is essential for Dutch customers that the reports are presented on time to the investment committee, supervisory authority, and other stakeholders.

Wij zijn op zoek naar een consultant voor ons Investment Risk & Analytical Services (IRAS) team in Amsterdam. Je zal het belangrijkste aanspreekpunt zijn voor de klanten van Northern Trust, op het gebied van performance, risico en compliance. Voor de Nederlandse klanten is het namelijk essentieel dat de rapportages op tijd worden gepresenteerd aan de beleggingscommissie, toezichthouder en andere stakeholders.

Your Role

  • Consulting with clients on all aspects of their investment decisions and presenting performance results in accordance with client requirements.
  • Supporting the relationship managers by providing technical expertise and attending customer meetings.
  • Provide service to customers and external parties when using reporting tools.
  • Involved in the production & quality assessment of planned reports (monthly and quarterly).
  • Maintaining the various advanced systems and investment tools. Knowledge of market trends in the field of performance and risk measurements is an advantage.
  • Assisting in preparing Dutch supervisory reports (FTK) and answering questions from the supervisor.
  • Monitoring customer requests and communicating with all (external) parties involved.
  • Enthusiastic about developing and improving performance capabilities and implementation for the relevant customers.
  • Optimizing operational processes and striving for maximum efficiency.
  • Participating in training initiatives for clients and colleagues, and serve as a mentor to IRAS analysts.

Skills

The role is a great fit if you:

  • Has experience with performance analyses, risk services, and customer contact.
  • Have excellent knowledge of financial markets, investment instruments, and portfolio management.
  • Have an academic degree (required), preferably in business administration, finance, technology, or a similar field.
  • Have an interest in or progress toward an advanced degree: CFA, CIPM, CAIA or other investment-related professional degree is a plus.
  • Have a passion and good knowledge of tech and the use of Microsoft Office tools, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Have analytical skills and enjoy solving problems.
  • Has the necessary communication skills that suit a service role.
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, spoken and written.
