Today your day starts at 07:00 AM. You will be present at 06:30 AM to see what has to be done today and to ensure that the hotel looks neat. You go through your e-mails and prepare the handover to your team. A new employee starts today and you take care of him. You introduce the new employee to the team and give a short tour of the hotel and start by explaining the basic tasks.

The day has started busy, but it is getting more quiet now. During the handover it was discussed that a large group is coming to check in today and that all employees must be ready to welcome this group with a smile. Around arrival time you check whether everyone is ready for the arrival of the group. In the meantime, a guest approaches you and reports to you that his room hasn't been cleaned. First you handle this complaint and ensure that it is communicated to housekeeping who will immediately deal with it. Just before the end of your shift you ensure that both the lobby and the reception are spotless. You ensure a good handover for the next service and you thank the team for their commitment today. This means it is already time to go home

Tasks and responsibilities:

Executing and coordinating all reception tasks throughout the day;Leading day and nightshifts;Keep track of sales reports;You will be first point of contact for corporate bookers;Processing and follow up on guest reviews on social media;Answering to guest requests and solving complaints;Create, execute and improving checklists;Participate in meetings;You set a leading example for your team and meet the safety and professionalism standards.

Job Requirements;
A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position;You possess a good level of Dutch and English and preferably a third languageYou are familiar with Word, Excel and Outlook;You have knowledge of PMS systems (preferably Opera);You can reach our hotel day and night.Who are you?

On 24th April 2013 the hotel Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam - Central Station was opened. The hotel is located in the heart of Rotterdam, right next to the shopping and entertainment area in the city centre. Within 500 meters from Central Station of Rotterdam you are at the accommodation. In addition, the hotel has a soundproofed lobby and soundproofed rooms, so that there is no problem with the busy crossroads next to it. In total, the hotel has 214 rooms and there is the possibility to work out. With the right attitude, growth within our hotels it is in everyone's reach.

The Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam - Central Station belongs to the portfolio of The Vincent Hotel Group. This is the umbrella organisation that has a total of 11 hotels and a head office (Support Office).
