Orion Group Life Sciences are looking for a Senior Engineer (Senior Controls Engineer) on behalf of our Multinational Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology client located in Breda. Initial 6-month contract. Full-time onsite position.

Main Responsibilities of the role

  • Identifies improvement possibilities on production line with focus on controls and software (Allen Bradley / Controllogix).
  • Sets up PLC data tracing and reports out to gain insight on trends for fault occurrence frequency.
  • Assistance with PLC software trouble shooting to maintenance team.
  • Supports system improvements.

Required Qualifications and skills

  • Preferably relevant experience in the biotech/pharma industry.
  • Understanding of a GMP working environment.
  • Programming experience on Allen Bradley / Controllogix.
  • Solid problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work with a diverse, international group.
  • Proactive self-starter who can prioritise tasks efficiently and work in a team.
  • Proficiency in the English language is required for all communication.
  • Ensure quality.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Analyzes a problem by gathering and understanding all relevant information.
  • Able to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities simultaneously, especially in a fast-paced environment with time constraints.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail.
  • Able to work effectively with people from diverse cultures and adapt to different working styles.
  • Communicate issues in a timely manner.
  • Capable of planning and organizing tasks and work responsibilities to achieve objectives.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Proficient in reporting and technical writing skills.
