About the Role

The Capital projects 'discipline engineering team' (E&I, Static equipment, and Rotating equipment) is responsible for ensuring that all Capital project installed equipment is reliable, compliant with standards, and safe for operations. You will collaborate with the team to provide project management support and ensure quality assurance throughout all project phases.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure continuous engineering compliance (e.g., statutory requirements, Engineering partner requirements, permits, legislative approvals).
  • Offer project engineering advice to operations, maintenance, and project management.
  • Ensure all modifications adhere to the Management of Change (MOC) process.
  • Work closely with our Engineering partner to ensure quality and 'right first time' for engineering deliverables.
  • Handle day-to-day engineering interfaces between the corporate engineering group and projects, project managers, and OEM teams.
  • Build strong relationships with all engineering group members (Integrated Team) and the Project Managers/team to ensure a consistent approach and effective issue resolution.
  • Participate in design reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and client operability requirements, and collaborating with Operations to ensure the equipment is built in the safest, most efficient, and cost-effective manner possible (fit for purpose).
  • Participate in risk assessments at various project phases, identifying and mitigating unacceptable risks.
  • Review scope of work documents for procurement packages in collaboration with other discipline leads and based on project requirements.
  • Provide technical recommendations in response to field inquiries during construction.
  • Conduct quality assurance shop or on-site reviews of fabricated or constructed work to ensure compliance with regulatory, company, and client requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering and project documentation and data.

Your Qualifications
  • MSc or BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Petro-chemical industry with extensive knowledge in the Rotating discipline;
  • Experience in applying Norms, international standards, quality control plans, and interpreting specific site standards;
  • Proficient in selecting various Pump, Compressor & Seal systems;
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, relevant mechanical engineering analysis software;
  • Understanding of capital projects and different project phases from front-end engineering design (FEED) to mechanical completion and commissioning;
  • Knowledge of vendor's requisitioning and manufacturing process;
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in Dutch (B1/B2).
