Duties & Responsibilities

The quality inspector carries out goods inwards inspection, encompassing both electrical and mechanical assessments. These inspections are conducted at the OMR Utrecht site as well as various customer sites.

Functions

E S S E N T I A L

• Carry out goods inwards inspection as required by customer contract
• Carry out inspection, ensuring that all appropriate information is recorded on production control system, perform inspection as per customer contract, recording details on Company Control System
• Maintain true and accurate inspection records, including inspection control cards, non-conforming outside supplier faults, and to accurately and fully record all faults found.
• Ensure that inspected components are physically expedited to the next sections racking area or to despatch, and notify the appropriate department.
• You will have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship or similar and can demonstrate a number of years working with a variety of Inspection techniques
• Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards
• Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards.
• To ensure the Goods-In floor is clear of any non-conforming product at all times and that all non-conforming product is stored/signed into the quarantine area...

To ensure the correct use of the QMS System is being adhered to

• Added responsibility of Equipment Calibration, managing calibration database and supplier agreements.
• Experience in Electrical & Mechanical Inspections, including Dimensional Inspections.
• Role includes Manufacturing & Final Process (Vehicle) Inspections & Sign-off.

• The list of the job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.
• Assist with any other duties as and when required.
• Undertake specific projects as instructed by management.

Qualifications

R E QU I R ED

• You will have served a recognized engineering apprenticeship or similar
• Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards
• Thorough manual measuring and inspection skills.
• Strong verbal, written and IT/Email communication skills.
• Good organizational skills
• Basic knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft packages
