"Measuring is knowing." As a 3D measurement technician, you play a crucial role in ensuring quality, safety, and reliability—key factors in the aviation industry Using 3D measurement machines, you conduct interim, final, and repair inspections. This ensures quality throughout various stages of the production chain and prevents errors in subsequent production processes. The parts you work on are used in landing gears for the F-16 fighter jet, the Apache attack helicopter, the F35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), the MQ9 Reaper (drone), and the multipurpose NH90 helicopter.

As a 3D Measurement Technician, you regularly interact with your colleagues on the production floor and in engineering. You perform initial product inspections (IPIs) and provide advice on the adjustment of production machines. If a product deviates, you prepare a deviation report using the applicable drawings and procedures.

You analyze and compare measurement data according to the relevant drawings and specifications and can explain how certain measurement results were achieved.

An overview of your tasks:
During the daily start-up meeting, you discuss the planning and ongoing projects with your colleagues.

Based on this planning, you know what preparations to make for initial product inspections (IPIs) or interim and final inspections.

In case of deviations, you prepare a Non-Conformity Report (NCR) and assist in root cause analyses (RCAs).

Additionally, you conduct measurements for First Article Inspections (FAIs) and document them according to AS9102 requirements or specific customer requirements.

Finished? You finalize the product documentation and check one last time to ensure it is complete and accurate.

You are match when:
You have technical expertise through education and/or experience in the metal industry. You possess at least an mbo-level qualification and preferably have practical knowledge and experience with complex metal products.
You have demonstrable theoretical and practical knowledge of control methods, measurement techniques, measurement tools, and equipment.
Experience with a 3D measurement machine (Zeiss or Hexagon) using Calypso or PCDMIS software is a plus.
You speak English
You have a keen eye for quality, safety, and cost, and you are very precise.

You take pride in what you deliver time and time again and in the production errors you help prevent.
