Your role and work environment
The purpose of the chapter Feature Engineering Lending Services is to improve continuously and extend our expertise as Feature Engineers to coordinate delivery of complex solutions going beyond the scope of a Product and Tribe.
To enable digitalization for Lending Services we want to be a frontrunner in technology and continuously develop new solutions. The translation from our architectural moonshot to the applications in our portfolio need to be concise, using latest supported technologies and future-proof.
You're familiar with the latest technologies, architectural guidelines and agile Way Of Working in order to be able to participate in various discussions and drive the implementation of digitalization within Lending Services.
You will work primarily with Loan Servicing intake, administration, and Limit availability for Wholesale Bank Lending. Several initiatives are ongoing to be ready for the future and to make future innovations and improvements possible.
Your key responsibilitiesAlign the different squads within the Lending Tribe to achieve better and more effective processes in collaboration with other domains and Change experts. Take care of the IT part of these changes. Create implementation plan and co-ordinate dress rehearsals and test activities before implementation.Take care of the IT part to implement branches into the Global Lending Structured Finance model. This will mean to align several parties to create the capabilities to migrate the portfolio's to the Applications of the Target Operating Model within WB Lending;Support the implementation of major Loan IQ releases which have big impact on the surrounding down- and upstream applications. Have the overview who should be involved and what has to be done before implementation can take place. Own the agreed approach, roadmap and implementation plan and monitor the progress to help the decision making for the final Go for the implementation.Ensuring that the architecture is implemented according to plan, minimizing technical/tactical debt. Escalates to management if required.Defining realistic and ambitious Implementation Roadmaps and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) items (3 quarters) together with Tribe Leads, Product Owners, IT leads and Squads of the platform.Breaking down desired (business) themes into epics and features across multiple platforms, that can be further refined into implementable stories. Defines backlog items to further improve the quality of the platform.Providing guidance to Engineers, managers and teams/squads for the platform by describing design patterns in Cookbooks together with the engineering discipline. Describes how these best practices can be implemented in practice.We are looking for: You are an energetic and proactive feature engineer with a passion for how to use the right tools and techniques for the Lending environments and a positive, "Do it-Try it-Fix it" mentality. You are a natural team player who forms relationships based on social skills rather than hierarchical structure. Close cooperation with your fellow Feature Engineers, architects, management, and the DevOps squads is your greatest achievement. You have a broad understanding of both technical and orange code competences with which you feel comfortable with all WB Tech services and find your way around the domains/tribes/squads globally. You continuously strive to develop both yourself and your colleagues in the security mind-set. You can work and bring together multiple different stakeholders into one table, you are flexible enough to zoom in and out based on the context so being able to handle both details as well as big picture overview. You are an ambassador for a solid, future proof IT architecture.
