About the teams:
The Observability Platform team is dedicated to providing a seamless observability experience that empowers the organization to make informed decisions regarding cost structure.
The Continuous Delivery team focuses on efficiently delivering our applications to production by empowering developers through pipeline development, managing our build infrastructure, and implementing gitops practices globally.
What you'll do- Lead, coach, and oversee teams and individual contributors.
- Take ownership of the teams' roadmap and oversee its execution by collaborating with principal engineers, product managers, other engineering managers, and the teams to prioritize and execute tasks.
- Balance long-term strategic thinking with effective tactical execution to ensure that every step taken and effort made contributes to the overall direction.
- Leverage your engineering background and business acumen to make informed decisions at various levels.
- Implement solutions and frameworks to enhance the Builder experience, incorporating advanced technologies and frameworks with empathy to enhance developer productivity.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading, building, and expanding teams, preferably a mix of software and platform engineers.
- Demonstrated experience in initiating and leading engineering projects with or without formal authority.
- Track record of managing multiple work streams simultaneously while balancing deliveries with technical debt reduction.
- Proven ability to prioritize effectively, align decisions with organizational goals, and lead teams to successful outcomes in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Previous experience as a lead/staff level software engineer with a strong technical background capable of challenging technical decisions from a knowledgeable standpoint.
- Proficiency in (multi) cloud-native infrastructure and a deep understanding of AWS or GCP computing, networking, and storage services along with associated cost structures.
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes architecture and concepts, as well as serverless implementations.
