Welcome to our team

As the Financial Accountant in the Animal Health division, you will report to the Associate Director Entities Controller of Animal Health and collaborate closely with the Accounting Department. Your primary focus will be on supporting our Animal Health Technology Solutions business, handling all accounting and compliance-related matters. You will interface with multiple teams, including Business Service Centers, Center of Excellence, IT, and Corporate Tax.

Purpose of the role

  • Contribute as an Animal Health finance expert supporting global operations.
  • Bridge the gap between IT and business regarding requirements.
  • Empowered to make impactful decisions.
  • Key player in ensuring compliant business processes.
  • Participate actively in Animal Health Technology Solutions initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Report to the Associate Director Entities Controller of Animal Health.

As a Financial Accountant, your core duties include:

  • Lead the monthly financial closing aligning with US GAAP.
  • Establish connections with key figures in finance and business within the Animal Health Network.
  • Ensure SOX compliance in coordination with the Associate Director of Financial Control & Compliance.
  • Maintain a robust control framework across financial, operational, and external business relations.
  • Support audits and address audit findings promptly.
  • Standardize and optimize activities with team members.
  • Collaborate with Business Service Centers and Centers of Excellence on accounting procedures.
  • Assist in cost-sharing and contract obligations.
  • Align goods and invoice flows with the Global Transfer Price Policy in collaboration with Global IT, Supply Chain, & Corporate Tax.
  • Pursue process efficiencies and optimizations.
  • Evaluate financial implications of projects and business agreements.

Your profile

  • Hold a Bachelor's/master's degree in finance and accounting.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proficiency in Dutch GAAP and US GAAP.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and problemsolving abilities.
  • Act as a business partner effectively.
  • Experience in process design.
  • Familiarity with VAT and various systems like Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Analytics, HFM, BPC.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Thrives in an international setting, proactive, and a collaborative team player.
  • Demonstrate openness, eagerness to learn, and a sense of humor.
  • Ready for travel within the country as needed.
