Petroplan are currently working with a leading EPC sourcing a Civil supervisor and/or civil QA to act as third part inspection on an LNG Tank to be based in Rotterdam.

The Job Requirements are as follows.

  • Knowledge of the main international standards and codes ( EUROCODE, ISO , etc ) related to civil works
  • Capability to interpret drawings and standards issued by the main contractor related to the execution of civil works
  • Capacity to interpret and to review the approved concrete mixes
  • Inspection and revision in process of the execution of the civil works (correct installation of the rebar with the appropriate covering and overlaps, installation of inserts, formwork, construction joints ,etc.) for the authorization of the pouring of concrete
  • Inspection and review during the concrete pouring process (truck reception in good time, air content measurement check, slump test, pouring process, vibration, etc.)
  • Check Testing of test specimen extraction according to the approved Inspection Point Program and then review and interpret the results at 7 and 28 days
  • Monitoring the curing process for concrete once it has been poured
  • Inspect the final result of the concrete once it has been stripped, for final acceptance and/or observations if proceed
  • Issuance of reports corresponding to inspections carried out on a periodic basis.
  • Speaking Dutch is not essential, but it is highly valued.
