An international offshore engineering firm is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist based in the Leiden area. This role bridges the tendering and execution phases of major offshore projects, ensuring smooth and strategic supply chain operations.Job Description:The Supply Chain Specialist will work closely with supply chain leadership, procurement, project, engineering, and operational teams. Responsibilities include:Integrating supply chain practices into tender proposals and project executionMonitoring and optimizing cost, schedule, and quality across onshore and offshore locationsIdentifying supply-chain risks and creating effective mitigation plansTracking KPIs and implementing corrective actionsDriving continuous improvement and fostering supplier innovationCoordinating cross-disciplinary teams and contributing to lessons learned and cost databasesRequirements:Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or equivalentAt least 10 years of experience in supply chain or procurement within international, project-based environmentsStrong strategic thinking and hands-on project execution skillsExcellent contract negotiation and supplier management abilitiesFluent in English; additional language skills are a plusExperience with ERP/SCM tools and familiarity with offshore energy industry practicesStrong communication, analytical mindset, resilience, and leadership capabilitiesAdditional Info:Location: Leiden area, NetherlandsFluent English required No visa sponsorship available
