Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business teams to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into well-structured solution designs.
  • Develop detailed low-level specifications for implementation by big data engineers.
  • Lead project estimation efforts, defining timelines and scope.
  • Conduct data analysis and prototyping in Jupyter Notebooks using Python and PySpark kernels.
  • Perform data exploration and ad-hoc querying using Hue and Athena.
  • Ensure adherence to data quality standards and governance best practices, maintaining data accuracy and consistency.
  • Continuously enhance and optimize data solutions to improve platform efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and customer privacy regulations across data solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to clarify specifications and align on implementation strategies.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior data analysts and foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Utilize GitLab for code reviews, incident analysis, and collaboration within development teams.
  • Leverage Grafana for real-time monitoring and visualization of data pipelines.
  • Understand data pipeline frameworks to support better solution design and integration with big data engineering teams.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in Python and SQL for scripting, data analysis, and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, particularly in data analytics and storage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to design and deliver solution architectures and low-level technical specifications.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills for seamless interaction with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of data quality assurance and governance to ensure high data integrity.
  • Familiarity with GDPR regulations and their impact on data privacy.
  • Proven experience working alongside big data engineers to drive solution implementations.
