Introduction to the job

We seek an ambitious professional in the area of outsourcing Research & Development (R&D) services in our Non-Product Related department of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement.

You act as a sourcing lead to co-develop & execute the category strategy to improve quality, speed & costs.

In this role, you closely co-operate with internal stakeholders in Research, Development & Engineering, Legal and Corporate Intellectual Property sectors and with our suppliers, with the objective of assuring a timely balance between expected demand and supply capacity.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Co-Develop & execute the sourcing strategy for R&D services
  • Support the supplier Selection process, including tendering, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers
  • Manage the supplier relation, risk & performance in terms of quality, logistics, technology, costs & sustainability
  • Participate in project Steerco’s to ensure proper contracts are in place
  • Support procure-to-pay process

Education and experience

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in a professional, complex and international environment
  • Bachelor/Master degree in a relevant area (e.g. Technology Management, Business Economics, Mechanics, Electronics).
  • Experience in collaborating with commercial companies, academia and non-profit organizations.
  • Affinity with research/science

Skills

  • Business partnering to ensure buy-in from (senior) stakeholders in other Departments, combined with a result driven, can-do mentality
  • Negotiation and contracting skills, including IP terms
  • Supplier management in a multidisciplinary context
  • Excellent professional communication in English

Other information

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
