Your role as Financial Controller

As a key member of our Group Reporting team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality financial and non-financial reporting. Collaborating with finance teams across the globe, you’ll help streamline reporting processes, optimize internal controls, and support VTTI’s compliance with IFRS and CSRD requirements. Your expertise will also guide local finance teams, ensuring the consistent application of best practices throughout our operating companies.

In this role, you will gain exposure to exciting, impactful projects such as automating financial processes, managing the external audit cycle, and contributing to ESG data collection and reporting as part of the EU’s CSRD requirements.


What you’ll do

  • Manage the monthly consolidation process for financial and ESG data using Hyperion Financial Management.
  • Review and analyze monthly reports from operating companies and prepare budget vs actual analyses for management.
  • Prepare the annual IFRS consolidated financial statements and disclosures.
  • Prepare the annual CSRD reporting.
  • Advise local finance teams on the financial implications of complex transactions.
  • Maintain the standard chart of accounts and accounting manual.
  • Research and address technical accounting issues, providing solutions for management and external auditors.
  • Contribute to an effective internal control framework across the group.
  • Coordinate the global audit process.
  • Participate in projects such as IT upgrades, M&A, and tax-related initiatives.


What we’re looking for

  • 4+ years of experience in Accounting, Audit, or Control.
  • (Post) Master’s degree with relevant certifications (e.g., RA, RC, CIMA).
  • Big 4 audit experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, ESG reporting, and internal control frameworks.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and a team-player mindset.
  • Punctuality in the delivery of the figures
  • Deadline-driven and willing to go the extra mile.
