The main responsibilities of a QC Chemist are to carry out analytical testing, documentation and reporting. The QC chemist is also required to support in method development, and to participate in research projects and GMP analysis. All QC Chemists are expected to actively be involved in housekeeping of the labs including supporting maintenance of testing infrastructure.Role and ResponsibilitiesCarry out R&D and GMP-compliant analytical testingSampling and testing of chemicals (raw materials) and instrumental techniques Ensuring samples and products are handled appropriately according to standard operating procedures and work instructionsParticipation in development of analytical procedures for the analysis of raw materials and drug substancesPerforming instrumental analysis to assist in method developmentAssist the other members of the QC team with SOP reviewManage the necessary documentation as required by standard operating proceduresRequirementsHBO/HLO/BSc or higher degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biochemistry or related. Or appropriate vocational training plus 3 years of experience in a laboratoryExperience with analytical techniques: LC and MS (peptides is a plus)Strong analytical interpretation skills General technical knowledge in analytical instrumentationIntermediate to good English Well organized and keen to learnAbility to work independently in a structured manner Team player especially concerning work and lab organisationGood communication skillsCan handle peaks of workloadAbout us Biosynth is an innovative life sciences reagents, custom synthesis and manufacturing services company headquartered in Staad, Switzerland.
