SENIOR DEVOPS (GCP) ENGINEER

2-3 DAYS ON SITE MINIMUM

12 MONTH CONTRACT + POTENTIAL EXTENSIONS


One of my Top Clients in the The Netherlands is hiring for a Senior Devops Engineer to help provide a flexible and reliable automated public/private cloud platform.

This platform will enable accelerated and sustainable adoption of edge cloud internally supporting client growth


Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for providing managed infrastructure DevOps services, specifically Kubernetes as a Service (KaaS) to our customers
  • Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications at scale on Google Distributed Cloud Connected.
  • Ensure that customers can build and deploy their applications on a reliable and scalable edge infrastructure
  • Use Google Distributed Cloud to manage software delivery pipelines, deploy/monitor services, and manage/learn from incidents.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their application requirements and provide tailored Kubernetes solutions while working with solution and application architects.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong working knowledge of Google Distributed Cloud.
  • Experience in the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and support of a distributed cloud network, as well as various other Google Cloud services
  • Prior experience working with container technology such as Docker and Kubernetes, version control systems (GitHub), build management and CI/CD tools (e.g., Build Buddy, Jenkins, Bamboo, Buildkite), and monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols such as IP subnetting, routing, firewall rules, Virtual Private Cloud, LoadBalancer, Cloud DNS, Cloud CDN, Hybrid Networks, etc.
  • Experience with Big Data on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataflow.
  • Understanding the concepts of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
