Since opening in 2012, our Early Years and Primary school provides young learners with a dynamic, multicultural and multilingual environment in which to play, grow, learn and develop in accordance with the European Curriculum. Early Years and Primary education at our school consists of two years of the Early Years cycle and five years of the Primary cycle.

Pupils undertake the majority of their learning in their own language section. To encourage playing and learning together, and to facilitate multicultural and cross-cultural friendships, a number of lessons are organised in mixed language groups.

The Primary school has five language sections: English, Dutch, Spanish, French and German. Our SWALS pupils (Students Without A Language Section) are placed in the language section of one of the official vehicular languages: English, German, French, or in the language section of the host country (Dutch).

We are looking for a Romanian teacher to teach our P2 pupils. You will be working together with our Romanian teacher who teaches the other year groups. As a Romanian teacher, you will be part of our Mother Tongue Teacher team, as we offer Finnish, Spanish, Greek, Italian, Slovenian, Czech, Portuguese and Polish to our pupils as well.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified teacher status to teach in Primary Education, in the country the qualification is obtained
  • Bachelor of Arts for Romanian language and literature
  • Native Romanian or C1 level Romanian speaker

Recommendations

  • Experience in international or intercultural education
  • Active contribution to school development in general
  • Excellent social and communication skills
  • Knowledge of other EU languages is an advantage
  • Living in the vicinity of The Hague
  • Having a DUO recognition or willing to apply for this preferably

An appointment based on the Dutch teachers’ collective labour agreement (CAO PO) for primary education LB minimum €3301,- and maximum €5030,-. The specific step in the scale is depending on relevant background and experience.
