Head of Origination

Our client, a Dutch energy company focusing on energy trading, power and gas supply and power plant operations, is looking for a new Head of Origination. They are actively defining strategies to monitor risk and pursue opportunities also in collaboration with their colleagues at the head office, in Prague, Czech Republic.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Originators and Structures
• In collaboration with the Asset Management team, Identify, research and present
• potential targets to expand and optimize the generation portfolio
• Executing the commercial strategy by helping monetize the flexible generation portfolio
• Actively pursue optimization of energy-strategies for large industrial customers
• Achieve ambitious targets
• Expand the Wind and Solar PPA portfolio
• Together with the Structuring team, design and market innovative structured products

Qualifications

• University or equivalent degree (or equivalent professional experience) in a commercial, economic or technical discipline. A relevant master’s degree is a plus
• Proven experience in Origination or commercial departments of Energy Companies, Utilities or similar organizations
• Results oriented and motivated
• Strong knowledge of the developments in the Energy Markets including but not limited to new generation technologies, hydrogen, wind, solar and energy storage
• Strong and motivating leader for team of professionals
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across different teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
