The GKN Fokker Elmo Engineering department is looking for an ambitious Supplier Quality Engineer who wants to apply their background, experience, interests and ambitions to the development of future Electrical (Wiring) Interconnection Systems for sustainable aircrafts. We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer for our Procurement/Supplier Quality department in Papendrecht. In this role you will regularly monitor the quality performance of supplier and initiate actions depending on the cause of any problem (such as assessments, problem solving activities, etc.) Manage the supplier quality performance issues, serve as the liaison for suppliers, challenge, facilitate supplier on structural quality, and process improvements.
With over 15,000 employees across 38 manufacturing sites and 4 Global Technology Centres, they serve over 90% of the world's aircraft and engine manufacturers with sales of £2.5bn. GKN Fokker Elmo employs 2200 employees worldwide.
Have frequent contact with supplier to monitor actions within Quality.
Analyse and report suppliers' quality performance and identify improvement areas.
including timely execution of root cause investigation, containment and corrective/preventive actions; Manage implementation of risk mitigation activities and process control systems at supplier, to prevent non-conformance. Support in supplier feedback.
Define and propose improvements to the business management system in order to improve the Supplier Quality organization within GKN Aerospace - Fokker Elmo, share best practices between your global SQE colleagues.
More than 4 years' experience in engineering/production, preferably in working with suppliers in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledgeable in wiring - electrical products, processes, technologies and quality requirements. (Skilled in quality systems, tools and methods (root cause analysis, 8D, etc.), ability to teach & facilitate continuous improvement team events.
Well organized and structured with strong skills to work both independently and in a team, can handle pressure and go the extra mile to obtain effective results.
Target-oriented and outgoing with good communication and presentation skills (fluent in English, spoken as well as written), tactful and diplomatic in your approach. Some command of the Dutch language is a plus.

Preference to candidates resident in the Netherlands.
