As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in managing and advising on a wide range of legal matters across our global operations. You will be a trusted advisor to senior management, providing strategic legal guidance with a strong focus on commercial contracts, risk management, and compliance. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing organization in the subsea services sector, where your insights and leadership will help drive legal excellence and business integrity. Key Responsibilities Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of complex commercial contracts, including client agreements, consortium arrangements, and subcontractor terms. Provide legal support during tender processes and project execution, including variation orders and claims. Advise senior management on legal risks, liabilities, and strategic decisions. Collaborate with external advisors (e.g., insurance, tax, regulatory) to ensure comprehensive legal coverage. Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and best practices to support business operations and mitigate risk. Monitor and interpret relevant legal and regulatory developments, ensuring compliance across jurisdictions. Mentor junior legal staff and contribute to the continuous improvement of the legal function. Your Profile Master’s degree in Law (LL.M. Or equivalent). Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant legal experience, ideally gained in an international environment or law firm. Proven expertise in maritime, offshore, or construction law, with a strong track record in contract negotiation and risk management. Solid understanding of commercial drivers and the ability to balance legal and business considerations. Proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English (written and spoken); Dutch is a plus.
