Role Overview

We are seeking an organized and results-driven Supply Chain Management Associate to oversee and optimize the supply chain operations at Samyang Foods Europe. This mid-level role focuses on managing inventory and stock levels, coordinating import clearances, placing stock orders with HQ, and ensuring efficient warehouse and logistics operations. The associate will collaborate closely with sales and business development teams to maintain an optimal stock size that meets customer demand while minimizing excess inventory. This is a new role at Samyang Foods Europe and will hands-on approach and setting up the basic SCM functions.

 

Key Responsibilities

·        Manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing holding costs.

·        Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring proper storage, handling, and timely dispatch of goods.

·        Coordinate import clearance processes to ensure timely delivery of stock from HQ.

·        Collaborate with sales and business development teams to forecast demand and plan stock levels accordingly.

·        Place stock orders with HQ, monitoring lead times and ensuring alignment with sales forecasts.

·        Work closely with logistics partners to optimize transportation and distribution.

·        Analyse supply chain data and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

·        Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other key stakeholders.

·        Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards for imports, warehousing, and distribution.

 

Qualifications

·        Experience: 5 years in supply chain management, preferably within FMCG or international food product industries.

·        Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehousing, and logistics.

·        Experience with import/export processes, including customs clearance.

·        Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

·        Strong collaboration and communication abilities, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

·        Proficiency in English; additional European language skills and/or Korean language skills are a plus.

·        Understanding of Asian food products or familiarity with multicultural supply chain dynamics is advantageous.
