What is there to do?
A secure IT infrastructure is one of the key performance requirements for modern public authorities and companies. At the same time, threats are constantly changing. As a subsidiary of the Bundesdruckerei Group and close cooperation partner of the BSI, genua has a special role to play here. Our consulting team plays a central role in this:
After extensive training by experienced colleagues, you will implement IT security solutions for our customers - either in a team with colleagues in large, long-term projects or as a genua expert on site at the customer's premises.

In the simplest case, this solution consists of the installation and configuration of one of our IT security products
However, there is often more to it than that: at an early stage of the project, you work with the customer to develop a solution based on OpenBSD, Windows, Linux or cloud-based products
Our components are often embedded in complex IT infrastructures, so that you can always think outside the box and deal with different hardware and software components. Here you can draw on our many years of experience with IT security projects and benefit from your direct line to product owners, development and technical customer support
Your technical focus is currently on VPN and firewall solutions up to layer 7, the central administration of extensive network environments and secure remote maintenance. Your openness to new technologies and further training will allow you to grow with our products and help shape the future of IT security
In the end, you will integrate the solution at our customers' premises and put it into productive operation
With your technical and professional customer knowledge, you will provide important impulses internally at genua to improve our solutions

What you bring with you

A solid foundation: a degree in computer science, mathematics or another technical or scientific subject or an IT-oriented apprenticeship (e.g. computer science)
(Initial) practical experience with customer projects, as a system administrator or in technical customer support and a pronounced love of bits and bytes
Analytical strength: you are good at analyzing complex systems and deriving recommendations from them
Technical depth: You are confident in complex network environments, have a sound knowledge of Unix/Linux, can write simple shell scripts and learn new skills quickly
Enthusiasm: You have a strong affinity for IT security and can also transfer this to your environment
Teamwork and communication skills: You enjoy working in a team and can communicate complex technical concepts to technical colleagues as well as non-technical stakeholders and customers
Business fluent in written and spoken German (at least approx. C1), good English skills are an advantage
