Robotic Software Engineer

Wat is jouw rol? In the Robotic Application Software Development department, we develop software that helps automate dairy farms. We are working on a range of products, like mobile robots and our milking robot. We are looking for an engineer to strengthen our manure robot team. As a Robotics Software Engineer, you are responsible for the development and maintenance of our automated farming solutions including control technologies for our feeding robots. You work in a multidisciplinary team, composed of software engineers and testers but also data engineers, and system/mechanical/electronics engineers, depending on the project. You help translate requirements to a solid software design. You play a proactive role in designing, improving, and guarding the software architecture. Are you the experienced engineer we are looking for? Your Main Responsibilities Are Designing, implementing, and testing of the robotic software. Design, plan and conduct real-world experiments i.e our workshops and Lely test farms. Optimizing data structures and algorithms used in production plus improving and maintenance of the current codebase. Ensuring quality control based on design, code reviews, unit and integration testing, test automation. Contributing to the Agile work process by setting targets, reporting on progress, and managing risks and threats. Develop novel robotics algorithms with collaboration and input from our multi-disciplinary engineering teams. Solliciteer Wat is jouw ervaring? You have working knowledge of Embedded Linux and Git. You approach problems from a system point of view. You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science / Robotics or a similar domain.
