About the Role: Compliance Officer

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to take charge of compliance risk management, ensuring Yoursafe operates in line with Dutch financial regulatory legislation, including Wwft, Wft, PSD2, and AML directives. This role plays a pivotal part in maintaining and strengthening our compliance culture, regulatory reporting, and risk management framework. You will report directly to the Management Board and work closely with internal stakeholders to uphold Yoursafe's regulatory commitments.

You will act as the primary point of contact for compliance-related matters, both internally and externally, including interactions with regulators such as De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB).

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee compliance monitoring activities, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Act as the first point of contact for regulatory authorities, including DNB and FIU Netherlands.
  • Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting.
  • Establish, maintain, and update compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks, particularly in AML, fraud prevention, IT security, and risk management.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigatecompliance risks, aligningthem with Yoursafe's risk appetite.
  • Provide compliance training, awareness, and guidance to employees to foster a compliance-first culture.
  • Challenge and support internal teams on compliance matters, ensuring adherence to financial laws and regulations.
  • Manage compliance-related incidentreporting and investigations.
  • Maintain oversight of GDPR compliance and data protection policies.
  • Stay updated on new regulatory developments and proactively implement necessary changes.
  • Act as an advisor to the Management Board and Supervisory Board regarding compliance matters.
  • Support the Sales and Product teams in assessing the regulatory impact of new products and services.

Who You Are

We are looking for a professional who is independent, detail-oriented, and has a strong legal and regulatory background. You have:

  • A Master's degree in Law (Dutch Law preferred) or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 yearsof experience in compliance, risk management, or legal roles within financial services, Fintech, or regulatory institutions.
  • Strong understanding of Wwft, Wft, PSD2, AML directives, and financial regulations.
  • Hands-on mentality with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business applications.
  • Strong ethical compass and integrity to ensure objective compliance decisions.
  • Excellent proficiency in English (Dutch is a plus)
  • A proactive approach to identifying compliance risks before they arise.
