Then a job as Tin Management Development and Integration Engineer might be just what you are looking for.

Role and Responsibilities

Being a global company, ASML has development and production sites on different parts of the globe. As Tin Management Engineer in the Satellite Team, it is your job to bridge the gap in distance and time zones between the EUV Source development site in San Diego and the ASML headquarters and EUV factory in Veldhoven. It will be your job to provide the project you support with eyes, ears, hands and a voice in Veldhoven.


To be successful, you will need to be the expert in Veldhoven of the function you support with a broad scope including mechanical, electrical and controls. You will be the last line of defense in case of issues in the Veldhoven factory and it is your job to implement the containment. At the same time, you will be expected to make sure the design team in San Diego understands the root cause and has all the information required to develop the structural solution. Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Represent the San Diego based design team in Veldhoven
  • Manage escalations from factory and field during office hours in Veldhoven
  • Proactively provide feedback of improvement opportunities towards the design team
  • Support and execute integration of roadmap items
  • Manage factory Introduction of new products and functionality
  • Train local support teams
  • Support structural development and functional design

Education and experience

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field. Mechatronics or physics is preferred.

  • Experience working in a complex environment communicating cross sectoral
  • Experience working with complex systems
  • Basic MATLAB skills is preferred

Other information

The group is part of the D&E organization in San Diego, Cymer Technologies, but operating in the ASML headquarters in Veldhoven.This year the ownership of the function called Tin Mitigation transfers fully to San Diego which requires representation of this System Function in Veldhoven by the Satellite Team. This vacancy is to start building this team and provide eyes, ears, hands and a voice of Tin Mitigation experts in Veldhoven for the design team in San Diego. Since this is a new function for our team, that currently supports two other functions, your first challenge will be to build a strong relation with your colleagues in San Diego.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
