🚀 Role Objectives:

At Sirius, we're transforming the way how companies work with their sustainability data and interact with stakeholders and partners. It’s becoming possible with our AI-powered platform. In the rapidly changing AI environment, with continuous innovation in LLMs and RAG, we must keep pace by tracking all new technologies, approaches, and industry standards. To build on this momentum, we are now seeking a Senior AI Applied Researcher & Engineer, who will enhance our platform's core capabilities. This role involves hands-on leadership of projects from ideation to deployment, along with ongoing research into new practices, technologies, and approaches.

📈 Responsibilities:
  • Continuously monitor scientific research and tech-related media, selecting and testing new approaches, technologies, and tools.
  • Develop, train, test, and implement AI modules and models.
  • Create and maintain an optimal data pipeline (including classical data processing and LLM prompt engineering).
  • Monitor quality, respond to deviations, and refine as needed.
  • Report directly to the CTO (founder).
🧠 Skills and Qualifications:
  • Successful experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of AI frameworks (including RAG and knowledge graph) and successful experience in LLM applications.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills.
  • Curiosity, and eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic startup environment are crucial. Here, you will have a direct and visible impact, offering a rewarding and challenging experience.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, OpenAI, Anthropic, TensorFlow, NLP tools, and Postgres.

Everyone has heard about the Green transition. This transition, however, demands a sixfold increase in metal usage. Here's the alarming fact: the metals and mining industry already contributes to 15% of global greenhouse gas emissions. We can't afford to follow the path of linear growth.

In metals & mining companies, sustainability teams should be focused on implementing impactful changes. Yet, a staggering 60-80% of their time is consumed by fulfilling sustainability data requests from clients and partners. That work can and should be automated.
