Context of position

The Re-Use Engineering Group is part of the Re-Use and Repair sector in ASML, responsible to deliver the maximum Re-Use value for all return materials at the highest quality.

Flexibility in assignment/projects is required as the Re-Use scope is developing/growing over time.

The Re-Use Supplier Support Engineer

  • Works in a team of approx. 15 FTE WW, reporting to the Re-Use Engineering Manager.

  • Leads one or more complex technical ReUse development projects that requires contribution from several engineers. Taking industrialization into account.

  • Designs the test capability and testers for the re-used modules/parts.

  • Looks at problems from multiple known angles and proposes different, pragmatic ‘out of the box’ solutions.

  • Acts autonomously in own area of expertise, works independently on complex design engineering tasks, defines design solution. Works towards given results, with freedom to decide how to realize these.

  • Independently applies and adheres to quality standards.

  • Oversees the dependencies between project team tasks, assist PL in planning, proactively signal risk of not delivering on spec and in time,  translate weekly deliverables in daily tasks and maintain daily task plan, deliver weekly deliverables, carry out assigned departmental projects.

  • Provide effort estimates for own or similar tasks.

  • Document design choices and specifications in all phases to ensure product documentation is up to date and relevant underlying assumptions and restrictions are documented.

Job Description

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Provide technical support to ASML suppliers that currently do not meet our re-use ambitions/cost targets to help develop the repair methodology / tooling / process.

  • Participate in projects with suppliers to work together on ReUse solutions of parts that are supplied to ASML

  • Develop a qualification tester / qualification process in cooperation with the supplier and D&E.

  • Create repair work instructions and operation manuals for testers

  • Working in team consisting of members from several sectors within ASML, mainly located in Veldhoven, like D&E, sourcing and logistics and the repair development teams WW as well as team members from our suppliers. Work with the local repair development teams & suppliers to generate processes, flows, tooling and test coverage for complex part repairs at the highest quality possible.

  • Interfacing with multiple stakeholders in multiple countries (Field CS, CS LRC Dev & Ops teams, external suppliers, global sourcing teams, D&E, SCM etc.) to find & drive execution of Re-Use opportunities

  • Plan and coordinate the identification, elicitation of requirements, conduct analysis of those requirements for completion and alignment, document and manage requirements throughout the life of the project and coordinate the verification of the end deliverable.

  • Contribute to and support feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective, and document findings.

  • Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.

  • Lead the design of ReUse engineering solutions; design the test method and tooling, execute or participate in its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.

  • Detail out the design including its documentation.

Education and experience

Master degree in a technical discipline with solid experience, or equivalent working and thinking level. Experienced practitioner, able to work unsupervised.

In-depth knowledge of own complex tasks or simple sub-module within own area of expertise.

At least 5 years Engineering experience

Experience with ReUse & Repair and ASML’s technology is preferred
