Environment: Join a team of Injection Moulding engineers at one of Europe's most advanced manufacturing sites, contributing to the production of millions of advanced plastic products for Philips Royal. As part of the Production Engineering team, you will collaborate with a young, skilled, and highly motivated group that supports the Operations departments and drives continuous improvement within the Philips organization. Our team consists of approximately 50 colleagues who are eager to learn and adopt new practices. You will specifically become a member of the Moulding department.

Responsibilities:

• Drive Operational Excellence through problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership to ensure continuous improvement within Philips.
• Focus on customer needs, maintain positive employee engagement, and continually enhance workplace activities.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, workflows, and equipment to support operational goals and customer satisfaction.
• Innovate processes and extend capabilities to contribute to the factory of the future.
• Transfer new products to mass production by developing efficient manufacturing processes and mitigating potential risks.
• Collaborate with the Site Manufacturing Engineering team and other stakeholders to ensure seamless product transfers.
• Diagnose equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and develop sustainable solutions.
• Oversee operator instructions, critical parameters, checklists, training materials, and training plans for moulding operations.
• Recommend necessary processes, technical expertise, and tooling to optimize production runs.
• Lead the development of injection molding processes through parameter optimization, DOE experiments, and trials.
• Work closely with Site Manufacturing Engineering teams to define requirements and implement innovations.
• Execute continuous improvement projects at the department level.
• Represent Operations in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Introduce new products from Development to Operations, specifying requirements from Operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical engineering or chemistry).
• Additional education in plastic part making, moulding, and/or moulds is highly desirable.
• Eagerness to learn and improve current moulding processes.
• Ability to transform knowledge into practical actions.
• Strong root cause analysis skills.
• Proficiency in problem-solving within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Capability to lead a team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and improvement techniques is an advantage.
