EMC/EMI Engineer – Naval Systems (Defence Technology Shipyard) About the Role As an EMC/EMI Engineer, you ensure that all electrical and electronic systems on board advanced naval vessels operate flawlessly together — without electromagnetic interference. From radar to communication systems, you are the expert who guarantees full electromagnetic compatibility across the entire ship. Key Responsibilities Develop and safeguard EMC/EMI plans within complex maritime and defence-related projects. Perform risk analyses on electromagnetic interference across integrated shipboard systems. Advise on system architecture, shielding, grounding and mitigation measures. Collaborate closely with engineering colleagues, suppliers and key stakeholders. Document EMC-related measures and ensure traceability within the technical project file. You enjoy working in a dynamic project environment and contributing to technically challenging and socially relevant projects. What You Bring A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Physics , or a related field Knowledge of or experience with EMC standards (e.g. MIL-STD-461 , DEF STAN 59-411 ) Strong analytical skills and a structured, methodical way of working Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders Willingness to work on-site when required
