KOTUG OptiPort is looking for a Software Developer who will play a pivotal role in advancing Kotug OptiPort, an innovative AI-driven port scheduling tool revolutionizing the global maritime industry. Currently, we are developing the next generation of our application (V2) —an exciting initiative that will enable us to significantly expand our reach and enhance the services we provide to customers worldwide. About KOTUG OptiPort KOTUG OptiPort started its digital mission to optimize port operations in 2017. Since then, we have gained a lot of experience in a number of leading ports around the globe, where we are optimizing tugboat fleets for our clients in a revolutionary way. KOTUG OptiPort is growing towards a web-based solutions platform. Responsibilities Contribute to the development of our OptiPort platform Collaborate with our developers to deliver high-quality, maintainable code Transform our customers’ operational requirements into functional solutions Drive platform enhancements to achieve our V2 goals. Who are we looking for? Our perfect candidate has the following: Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field Experience as a Back-end Developer or in a related role (full stack experience is certainly an advantage) Strong programming skills Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures Exposure to overall coding best practices Nice to have: Python experience Experience with Mathematical Programming and/or Optimization Models Experience with Google Cloud Platform Experience with MongoDB Comfortable with occasional customer interaction Affinity with maritime challenges Competencies: Fluent English speaker Effective problem solver Attention to detail Forward-thinker Able to prioritize, plan and multi-task Ability to work well with others, as well as independently
