The Construction & Commissioning Department is responsible for delivering QC inspection services, within Company’s Contracts & Procurement processes, in such a way that goods and services are supplied and performed in accordance with the Specifications, Quality Requirements and HSE standards. As Bluewater we are a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems (SPM) and operator of Floating Production Storage and Offloading units (FPSO).About the companyOur Values ✔We dare to make impact ✔We commit & deliver ✔ We think dynamically ✔ We take care About the jobAs QC Inspector, you play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of materials, components and equipment used in our projects. Your responsibility includes reviewing vendor quality documentation and conducting quality inspections. You collaborate closely with Bluewater project teams, suppliers, and the Inspection Coordinator. Furthermore, you: • Participate in Kick Off and Pre-Inspection meetings. • Conduct quality inspections in accordance with approved Inspection Test Plans. • Document inspection findings, recording test results, and maintaining inspection records. • Review the progress status at suppliers during stage inspections. • Collaborate with the project teams to address quality issues and ensure timely resolution. • Issue inspection waivers in conjunction with and approved by the responsible Project Engineer. • Liaise with assigned certifying authority surveyors and issue and close-out non-conformance reports and punch lists where applicable. • Authorize the release of equipment by issuing a Release Note, if applicable in conjunction with the certifying authority surveyor. • Provide feedback to the Engineering department on fabrication related matters of typical Bluewater products. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and procedures. Requirements• You have a Bachelor or Technical College degree. • Over 5 years of inspection experience preferably within the oil and gas industry. • Good communication skills. • Good in English language both written and spoken. • Willingness to travel to vendors (mostly within Europe) on a regular basis. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents. • Knowledge of NDT inspection techniques is preferred. • You hold a driving licence.What we offer • Fulltime/40 hours per week position within an exciting work atmosphere comprised of international colleagues and clients. • Good balance of work and play through diverse and voluntary activities such as Bluewater Sports, CPC run, Friday drinks at the Bluewater bar, daily fresh subsidized lunches, Winter sports, quiz nights, Sail day, Young Bluewater activities and excursions and our annual Christmas party. • Solid primary and secondary T&C’s including 29 holidays based on 40h work week, 13th month, contribution to collective health insurance and a pension scheme fully covered by us.
