About this role

You are one of the key drivers within the organization to ensure environmental, health, and safety requirements and considerations are embedded in our processes in the Netherlands. Your direct report will be the Services Team Lead and you will have a dotted line to the HSE Specialist in the Netherlands, assisting in maintaining HSSE compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

  • Identify and lead implementation to ensure compliance with local Occupational Health and Safety legislation requirements.
  • Ensure implementation of local HSSE Policy aligned with Corporate HSSE Policy, Standards and Programs.
  • Facilitate the completion of national RI&E.
  • Conduct Health and Safety audits to ensure compliance to our processes, SOP's and control measures are put in place to eliminate or mitigate identified risks.
  • Ensuring effectiveness of identified control measures through a monitoring and measurement program.
  • Set objectives and targets for Health and Safety performance improvement.
  • Manage Health and Safety related training programs nationally, incl. the compilation of a training needs analysis and matrix, content development/ translations, calendar management and participation tracking.
  • Ensure Health and Safety incidents are reported and investigated and provide guidance and support to ensure Corrective and Preventive Measures are identified and allocated to relevant stakeholders to prevent incidents recurrence. 
  • Ensure timely accurate reporting of Health and Safety incidents to relevant authorities. 
  • Ensure annual Health and Safety KPIs are met and identify improvement opportunities
  • Drive behavior-based safety within the operations in order to create and establish the desired safety culture. 
  • Embedding HSSE processes to develop a high level of safety maturity.

What will you bring to the table?

  • Occupational Health and Safety and an Environmental Certification
  • Fluency English and Dutch is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience in implementation of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Standards- a big plus
  • Ability to build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Readiness to design processes and initiate them from scratch.
  • Influencing through collaboration capability - working in matrix organizations
  • Tertiary level/ higher level education in a relevant field.- A must
  • Experience working in global environment - plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Tableau platforms is considered a strong advantage.
