In the Netherlands, we are located in four cities: Huizen, Delft, Eindhoven and Hengelo (head office). Together with an extensive ecosystem of knowledge partners, customers and suppliers, we work on radar systems for seagoing vessels, cyber security solutions, transport systems, communications equipment for land forces, cryogenic cooling solutions, R&D for radar technology (in collaboration with TU Delft), as well as R&D for serious gaming. (Hierbij wordt in multidisciplinaire teams gewerkt samen met specialisten op het gebied van system engineering, functioneel sensorontwerp en ontwerp en realisatie van real-time systemen.
 
Binnen de Sensor processing groep wordt de radar software ontwikkeld. Het uiteindelijke doel is specifieke objecten, zoals bijvoorbeeld vliegtuigen en drones te detecteren en te classificeren, deze te volgen en in beeld te brengen op een operatorconsole.
De software architectuur is zeer modulair opgezet en ondersteunt de ontwikkeling van robuuste en evolutionaire systemen. De ontwikkeling gebeurt in Agile teams die ondersteund worden door een moderne ontwikkelstraat. De verdere ontwikkeling en onderhoud van de architectuur, de ontwikkelstraat en het Agile proces worden momenteel door de teams zelf uitgevoerd.
Binnen Thales (Internationaal) wordt een nieuwe ontwikkelstraat uitgerold, waarmee we het software proces verder kunnen automatiseren. Wanneer het opzetten van een CI/CD straat met integratie van diverse tools zoals SonarCube, Black Duck en GitLab en het migreren van data uit tools als Bitbucket en het nieuw opzetten van pipelines vanuit Jenkins naar deze nieuwe oplossingen voor jou een leuke uitdaging is Dan zoeken wij jou.
Heb je een passie voor techniek en lijkt het je leuk om ondersteunen te bieden aan de teams die werken aan radar aansturingen en complexe moderne ontwikkelomgevingen? met een afgeronde HBO- of WO-opleiding in (technische) informatica of Computer Science.
Bovendien beschik je over ervaring met Docker/Podman en Kubernetes voor het draaien van software in containers.
Daarnaast heb je meerdere jaren ervaring met Java of C++, in combinatie met Maven.
 
Als DevOps Engineer ben je aanspreekpunt voor teams als er problemen zijn met de tools. Je werkt daarnaast nauw samen met andere DevOps Engineers van andere afdelingen die soort gelijk werk doen. Je bent pro-actief en creatief, open en flexibel en je kunt opereren als een teamspeler. Een goede beheersing van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal is noodzakelijk voor een goede functie-invulling.
