The unit is responsible for the introduction and further development of IT projects at the BfJ. In order to ensure that the Federal Legal Information System (RIS) continues to meet these requirements in the future, it must be continuously developed and adapted. as support for IT project management and IT management:
Shared responsibility for the planning, operational management and implementation of IT projects
Coordination of interdisciplinary teams consisting of internal specialists and external service providers
Continuation of current milestone planning; adherence to deadlines and budget restrictions as well as monitoring the quality of results
Support with budget planning and monitoring
Implementation of the specialist legal context and legal requirements in IT implementation packages
Review and technical evaluation of deliveries from external partners and monitoring of the required IT architecture guidelines
Selection and consulting in the area of cloud technologies

Completed academic university degree (Master's, university diploma, Magister) preferably in the field of computer science, business or administrative informatics as well as IT management or a comparable degree combined with relevant knowledge and skills acquired through studies, further training or professional activity
Relevant professional experience from several years of working in IT as an IT project manager or in IT or software architecture
Mastery of process models (preferably agile process models such as SCRUM and Kanban in scaled team contexts), confident application of methods and tools of classic and agile project management
Sound knowledge and practical experience of project implementation along the entire software development process in a DevOps culture for integrating the operation of web applications in the cloud environment (taking into account container architectures such as Kubernetes)
In-depth knowledge of IT security in the area of cloud-native systems that process particularly sensitive data
a confident manner and good negotiating skills with contractors from the group of external IT service providers
Business fluent in English for business correspondence
