Connecting your world

As a Service Designer, your responsibility is to develop the right service solutions now and in the future to support our operational colleagues. How you achieve this is up to you. We rely on your ability to distinguish key points from details and make connections. You will use your talents to:

  • Explore and discover opportunities in current and future operational processes at Schiphol.
  • Translate insights into various maps and journeys to create a shared understanding for your team and stakeholders.
  • Create end-to-end service solutions with users and the business through co-creation sessions and workshops.
  • Advise the Product Owner in defining the product strategy and shaping the roadmap by identifying potential opportunities and added value of developing features.

As a Service Designer, you will also be part of the Design Guild where you share knowledge and collaborate on cross-departmental issues. Besides these, you will also conduct preliminary research on potential opportunities for Schiphol Today. The Schiphol Today team is characterized by the drive to truly understand our users and help them move forward every day.

  • 7 years of relevant work experience.

  • € 4744 to € 6582 gross per month (Scale 12).
  • A 13th month.
  • An NS-Business Card that fully covers public transport to and from work.
  • The option to work 4 x 9 hours with a 36-hour work week.
  • An iPhone 14 or Samsung S22. The choice is yours.

About the Team

From the moment a passenger leaves home until the plane takes off: we ensure a pleasant and safe departure for all passengers. In close collaboration with you, about 1000 other colleagues, 140 airlines, and various handlers, we streamline processes from A to Z. For example, we make sure there is a colleague ready to assist passengers with reduced mobility from the parking lot to the gate. And that there are enough baggage belts available, even during (un)planned work and delays. Together, we work every day on a robust department with a responsible and reliable airport process.
