We are the joint data center of Deutsche Rentenversicherung at the Berlin and Würzburg locations. We stand for secure and high-performance operation of the infrastructure, compliance with the relevant legal standards, cost predictability, cost-effectiveness and IT consulting. In the area of basic infrastructure, our team is responsible for the SAN including storage and the mainframe. You can expect a collegial team where cooperation is based on respect and trust. You will install, configure and operate our IT systems and devices (IT system administration) of SAN directors and access switches from the manufacturer Broadcom, core/edge storage systems Hitachi G5600 / Fujitsu DX incl. Quorum / GAD, protocol types S3 / File
You install, configure and operate our IT systems and devices (IT system administration) from VTL (Virtual Tape Library) Centrics Store and Scalar Tape Robot I6000 from the manufacturer FTS/Quantum
For in-house operation, configure and operate virtual Linux servers with the RedHat Enterprise Linux V8 operating system
You will also be responsible for monitoring our IT systems (this includes error analysis and troubleshooting)
You will plan, design and document IT operating processes and work on IT projects (e.g. TechRefreshes) and support automation with the help of scripts developed in-house
You deal with the implementation and control of IT security measures (BSI-compliant action)
As part of the tasks described above, you will take part in early and late shift operations (between 6 am and 9:30 pm) as well as on-call duties (alerting via telephone, SMS, messaging).
You either have a successfully completed university education (Bachelor/Diploma/FH) in the field of IT, a successful completion of a comparable IT qualification, a successful completion of vocational training in the IT field or comparable practical experience in the IT field
You have several years of professional experience in the installation and configuration of Linux server operating systems
You are willing to work on-call shifts, as well as weekends and after-hours work
You have a good command of German and strong coordination and communication skills, both written and spoken
Your German language skills correspond to language level B2, we will be happy to support you in expanding your language skills in the future
